It all began with hating ballet in 1987. If it were not for her parents arriving late to pick her up from ballet, Anne would not have heard the karate yells coming from down the hall. Curiously she peeked into the room and immediately fell in love with the martial arts. She conviced her parents to let her try the karate class over the summer by promising to return to ballet afterwards. She never did keep that promise.

Over the years Anne practiced several martial arts styles, but always in addition to her primary style of Taekwondo. In 2005 she received her 4th Dan in Taekwondo, and was promoted to Master.

Anne Lundbom has been running her own non-profit club, Progressive Martial Arts, since 1999. She teaches at Hwa Rang Kwan on Fridays from 7.15-8.15pm, and on Sunday mornings from 10.00-11.30am, and is also available for Basic Trainings and Private Lessons.

Favorite Martial Artist:  The one who trains the most diligently and is least known.

Dream: To get more hours of sleep and thus experience more dreams. 
Goals as HRK Staff Member:
#1. To schedule private trainings or casual tutoring with all of the students who are missing in action, recovering from injury, struggling with the prospect of jumping back into training, or have any questions about training.
#2. Create more opportunities to build a tight community within HRK between members, their families and friends, instructors, and affiliated martial arts clubs though Potlucks and Special Events.
#3. Form an official HRK Demo Team and also HRK Competition Team.
